i won’t lie. little miss braelyn just wanted to party. well, party like a one-week old can… by staying awake and making eye contact. despite being drunk on milk, she’d wake up after snoozing for about three minutes. but when she did sleep, she made the cutest, sweetest smiley faces. here are just a few from our session:
year two of spring family pictures with this adorable family… except last time, they were a family of four. ilsa originally told me that getting ‘good’ pictures of her girls would be a challenge, but i think i met that challenge :) we met for a gorgeous, sun-filled afternoon at the johnson ranch trail – one of my favorite locations and a great place to go hike/walk with kids of any age!

i’ve known matt and kara for about three years… when kara was an aide at my husband’s school and offered to babysit our girls. kara and matt were married and crazy about kids, but waiting until the time was right to have a baby of their own. i’m sad to have lost some fabulous adult babysitters, but am so thrilled for this little family.

sweet miss marley is just over four months old. i really love these black and white images. i think each one could possibly be a different child – but really it’s just a different aspect of this little one’s personality shining through.

baby jake was one of my first real newborn sessions just about six months ago. i was so excited to get to see this sweet boy again today and was in awe of how big he’s gotten.

i’m good friends with reagan’s mama and have never, ever seen this girl cry. until today. she wanted nothing to do with sitting on the grass alone and certainly wasn’t going to smile her usual toothless grin for me.
big sis riley was a bit more interested in hamming it up… she even named my camera and told him a few secrets. (she loves to play dinosaurs at school, but don’t tell her i told you.)
reagan was much happier without clothes and rolling around on a nice soft bed. this girl has some gorgeous eyes!
and this next image? i could die. this could not be a more perfect, sweet moment with these girls.

sweet baby delaney slept right on through 90% of our photo session. all the moves and attmepts to pose her and she snuggled right back up to fall asleep.
her adorable big sister, haley, got in on the modeling gig too.

I begged your husband to let me babysit after meeting the girls at the volleyball game! Thank you for curbing my baby hunger for a few years :) So happy to have a squishy of my own now…you captured her (& us) perfectly :)
